NFL to Examine New Allegations Involving Packers Running Back Josh Jacobs
The league announced it will investigate additional accusations of violence against Josh Jacobs, who previously entered a no-contest plea to a misdemeanor battery charge.
The National Football League said on Saturday it will review newly reported allegations of violence involving Packers running back Josh Jacobs, adding to an ongoing investigation that began after the player entered a no-contest plea to a misdemeanor battery charge in May 2026.
Police records released on Friday indicated that three other women have come forward with accusations against Jacobs. The league said it will need to identify these individuals and seek their cooperation as part of the inquiry.
Under the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy, each domestic-violence incident carries a baseline six-game suspension without pay, with harsher penalties for repeat offenses. Jacobs is expected to receive credit for six games missed on paid leave, but must forfeit the salary earned during that period.
The Green Bay Packers have not commented on the latest allegations. A video of the May 2026 incident has not been made public, and the NFL has indicated it wants to review the footage before determining any final disciplinary action.
