Samsung may add a Galaxy S27 Pro model positioned between the S27 and S27+

Summary

Leaks suggest the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro could feature a smaller display, a larger battery and Ultra-grade cameras, aligning it more closely with the S27 Ultra than the S27+.

Samsung is expected to extend its 2027 Galaxy S27 lineup with a fourth variant, tentatively called the Galaxy S27 Pro. The series would include the base S27, the S27+, the S27 Ultra and the new Pro model, which may be announced in early 2027.

According to recent rumors, the S27 Pro could sport a 6.47-inch screen, smaller than the 6.7-inch panel on the S27+ and the 6.9-inch display on the Ultra. Despite the reduced size, the Pro is said to house a 5,200 mAh battery—larger than the 4,900 mAh unit reported for the S27+—and support 60 W fast charging, compared with 45 W on the Plus.

The device may also adopt Samsung’s Privacy Display technology, which is not expected on the base or Plus models, and include Ultra-grade camera hardware: a 200 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide lens and a 12 MP telephoto lens with 3× optical zoom, similar to the S26 Ultra. The front-facing camera could be upgraded to 16 MP, matching the S27 Ultra.

Design cues might see the Pro sharing a wide camera housing with the Ultra, differing from the vertical camera layout of the base and Plus models. While some details, such as the upgraded selfie camera, appear credible, other claims—like fitting a larger battery in a smaller chassis—remain speculative.

Samsung is anticipated to reveal the full S27 series in January or February 2027.
