Skydance Communications Chief Announces New Leadership Team and Executive Departures
Melissa Zukerman, Skydance's chief communications officer, introduced a revamped communications hierarchy and named several senior executives who will be leaving the company.
Skydance Media announced a reorganization of its communications department, with Chief Communications Officer Melissa Zukerman naming a new senior leadership team and acknowledging the departure of several communications staff. The new team includes Laura Watson as EVP, Head of Corporate, Executive and Strategic Communications; Shannon Buck as EVP, Corporate Communications and Media Relations; Virginia Fout as EVP, Global and Executive Events; and Deborah Marcus as SVP, Head of CSR. Zukerman said the changes aim to align communications more closely with the company's broader strategic priorities, including its direct-to-consumer platform, linear television portfolio and technology initiatives. She also highlighted the creation of a Direct to Market function to expand executive storytelling across owned platforms. The memo listed Arielle Falkowitz, Megan Klein, Joe Libonati, Adrienne O’Hara, Karen Shosfy, Heather Wagoner and Dennis Williams as departing communications colleagues, thanking them for their contributions.
"Our role is to protect and promote our business and our people – advancing our priorities, strengthening our reputation and ensuring that those who matter to our success understand who we are, what we stand for and where we are going," Zukerman wrote. "We are building this organization to operate as one team, with close partnerships across every part of the business," she added.
