Jio Platforms fell 2.4% intraday on Oct. 30 as investors awaited the company’s July-September quarter results for FY27.

Telecom and technology firm Jio Platforms saw its shares slip 2.4% intraday on Friday, October 30, trading down to an intraday low of ₹1,386.80 before recovering to around ₹1,420 by late morning. The decline came as the market awaited the company’s standalone and consolidated unaudited results for the July-September quarter of FY27, which are expected after market hours.

The National Stock Exchange reported that trading volume for Jio Platforms exceeded 16.7 million shares across NSE and BSE, reflecting heightened investor activity following the company’s recent listing on October 28. The board of directors is scheduled to consider the quarter’s financial statements and will hold an analyst meeting after the board meeting to discuss the results for the quarter and the half-year ended September 30, 2026.

Analysts will focus on several metrics, including average revenue per user (ARPU), which rose to ₹215.60 in Q1 FY27, and 5G data traffic, reported to be about 1.5 times that of 4G. The total fixed-broadband subscriber base stood at 28.6 million as of June 2026, with 8.6 million new additions over the prior 12 months. Q1 figures showed an 11.8% year-on-year increase in operating revenue and a 9.2% rise in profit, while EBITDA growth was partly offset by higher finance costs and depreciation linked to 5G asset capitalisation.

Since its debut on the NSE, Jio Platforms’ shares have delivered more than 28% returns to IPO investors, and the company’s market capitalisation was reported at over ₹13.08 lakh crore, with a free-float value of roughly ₹28,511 crore.
