The Tesla is registered to 20-year-old singer D4vd, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke. A representative for Burke stated that he is fully cooperating with the investigation.
The cause of Rivas's death remains under investigation, with the medical examiner listing it as "deferred." Authorities have not disclosed any connection between Burke and Rivas. However, Rivas's mother mentioned that her daughter had a boyfriend named David.
Rivas's family has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses, describing her as a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
