Titans trade All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to Chicago Bears

摘要

The Tennessee Titans will send Jeffery Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round pick to the Chicago Bears in exchange for two first-round selections and a 2027 fourth-round pick.

The Tennessee Titans have reached an agreement to trade All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears. Chicago will receive Simmons and a fifth-round pick in the 2028 draft, while Tennessee will acquire the Bears' first-round selections in 2027 and 2028, plus a fourth-round pick in 2027.

Simmons, a four-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro last season, posted a career-high 11.0 sacks, 17 tackles for loss and 21 quarterback hits in 2025. In the current season, he has recorded four sacks, six tackles for loss and nine quarterback hits over seven games.

"As far as I know, I wasn’t going to be traded before the deadline," Simmons told reporters on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old was the No. 19 overall pick in the 2019 draft and has amassed 46.5 sacks, 72 tackles for loss and 96 quarterback hits in his career. He had recently agreed to a three-year, $105.8 million contract extension with the Titans before the trade was arranged.

The move positions Simmons to join a Chicago defense that ranks eighth in yards allowed and ninth in points allowed this season.
