Chicago sent two first-round selections, a fourth-round pick and received a fifth-rounder in exchange for All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, while Tennessee gained the draft assets as part of its rebuild.

Chicago announced a trade with the Tennessee Titans that sends two first-round picks in 2027 and 2028, a 2027 fourth-round selection and receives a 2028 fifth-round pick, in return for defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. The move addresses Chicago’s need for interior defensive line depth after the loss of Gervon Dexter earlier in the season.

"The Bears are sending two first-round picks and a fourth-rounder to the Titans for Jeff Simmons," reported Tom Pelissero of The Ringer.

"The first-round picks the Bears are giving up are in 2027 and 2028, and the fourth-rounder is a 2027 selection," added ESPN reporter Adam Schefter.

Simmons, who has been rated among the top interior linemen by Pro Football Focus, posted a 76.7 overall grade, an 80.5 pass-rush grade and a 70 run-defense grade, ranking him in the top tier at his position. He recorded 20 run stops, 24 pressures and four sacks in the previous season.

The Titans, entering a rebuilding phase, opted to trade the near-30-year-old player for the draft capital, which they expect will accelerate their long-term roster construction.
