Knicks rally from 19 points to defeat Bulls 133-127

Resumen

Jalen Brunson scored 38 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter, as New York overcame a 19-point third-quarter deficit to beat Chicago 133-127.

Jalen Brunson led the New York Knicks to a 133-127 comeback win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, scoring 38 points and hitting six of 10 three-pointers. Brunson added 14 points in the fourth quarter, helping erase a 19-point third-quarter deficit.

"I was happy to be able to kind of finally get over that hump," Brunson said after the game. "Seeing the ball go in the way it did put me out of my mental state and into a good flow state."

Coach Mike Brown noted that Brunson’s performance was expected, adding that the team needed contributions from the entire guard rotation. Brunson, Landry Shamet, Jordan Clarkson and rookie Tyler Kolek combined for 52 points in the second half. Clarkson scored 18 points, including 12 in the final quarter, while Shamet contributed 14 points and five assists, and Kolek recorded nine points and nine assists.

The Knicks, playing on back-to-back games with less than 17 hours between tip-offs, arrived in Chicago early in the morning before the matchup. Brown acknowledged the limited rest but said the players found a way to compete.

In the closing seconds, Chicago missed a potential tying three-pointer, and Brunson sealed the victory by converting one of two free throws.
