Apple's OLED MacBook Pro lineup expected to start at $2,899
Apple is slated to unveil OLED touchscreen versions of its 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, with the smaller model priced around $2,899, according to Bloomberg.
Apple is preparing to launch OLED touchscreen variants of its 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops. Bloomberg reports that the 14-inch model equipped with an M5 Pro chip could be priced at $2,899, roughly $400 above the current M5 Pro version that starts at $2,499. The larger 16-inch version may begin at $3,399 if it follows a similar price increase, though the exact figure could be higher.
Both new models will retain the M5 Pro and M5 Max processors used in the existing lineup and will add features such as a Dynamic Island interface, a redesigned hinge to keep the display steady during touch input, thinner bezels, and a slimmer, lighter chassis. Apple has also updated the cooling system to reduce weight and improve airflow through the hinge.
The company plans to keep selling the current mini-LED MacBook Pro models alongside the OLED versions, offering a lower-cost option for customers who prefer not to pay for the touchscreen feature. Pre-orders for the OLED MacBook Pros are scheduled to start at 10:10 a.m. Pacific Time, with additional pre-orders opening for an OLED iPad mini, an M6-powered iMac, and an entry-level M6 MacBook Pro.
