Body of Missing Teen Found in Singer D4vd's Impounded Tesla Identified as Celeste Rivas

Authorities have identified the decomposed body discovered in an impounded Tesla registered to singer D4vd as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who was reported missing from Lake Elsinore in April 2024.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to a report of a foul odor emanating from the vehicle at a Hollywood tow yard on September 8. Upon inspection, officers found human remains inside a bag located in the front trunk of the Tesla.

The Tesla had been impounded after being reported abandoned in the Hollywood Hills, where it had reportedly been parked for more than a month. The vehicle is registered to 20-year-old singer-songwriter David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd. A representative for the artist stated that he is fully cooperating with authorities in their investigation.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the cause of Rivas' death, which remains unknown at this time. The case is being treated as a homicide investigation.

D4vd, who gained prominence through viral hits on TikTok, is currently on his "Withered" world tour. His scheduled performance in Seattle on Wednesday was canceled following the discovery.
