Lamar Jackson Expected to Return for Ravens vs. Bills
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports that quarterback Lamar Jackson is likely to play Sunday against Buffalo after missing three games with a high-ankle sprain.
Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson is expected to be cleared to play in the upcoming game against the Buffalo Bills, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Rapoport said he has spoken with sources who indicate Jackson is close to full health and will suit up on Sunday.
"I expect, based on the people I’ve spoken with, that Lamar Jackson will play this week," Rapoport told ESPN's Big Day.
Jackson has missed the Ravens' last three contests, during which the team posted a 1-2 record with a win over Atlanta and losses to Cleveland and Cincinnati. Head coach Jesse Minter expressed optimism after the team's recent 35-13 defeat to Cincinnati.
"I think he was able to get in a little bit of work obviously towards the end of last week… if he’s able to play — that’s healthy enough to play and play the way that obviously we feel like he needs to play — then he will play," Minter said.
The matchup is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. in Buffalo, with the Ravens hoping Jackson's return will bolster their offense.
