Brewers lead 3-0 in World Series after 10-1 win over Rays in Game 3

Resumen

Milwaukee beat Tampa Bay 10-1, extending its series lead to three games as the Brewers move within one win of their first World Series title.

Milwaukee took a 10-1 victory over Tampa Bay in Game 3 of the World Series, giving the Brewers a 3-0 series lead and putting them one win away from their first championship. Jackson Chourio went 4-for-5, and the Brewers recorded seven consecutive two-out hits, a World Series record, to score eight runs in the fifth inning.

The game opened with Chourio’s single and a walk to Jake Bauers, followed by a single from Christian Yelich that drove in Chourio. William Contreras added a single that allowed Bauers to score on a defensive misplay.

Milwaukee’s starter Robert Gasser limited the Rays, and a rally in the fifth inning produced runs from Brice Turang, Garrett Mitchell, Cooper Pratt, Sal Frelick, and David Hamilton, all driven in by hits and a double. Tampa Bay’s only response came in the ninth inning when Yandy Díaz hit a long double for a run.

The Brewers will start Dustin May in Game 4, while the Rays will give Griffin Jax the ball. The series continues tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
