Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce dispose of custom wedding décor after $30 million ceremony
According to sources, the couple had the elaborate decorations created for their wedding incinerated to prevent resale, with the items transported in multiple semi-trucks.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelke's $30 million wedding decorations were reportedly destroyed by fire after the ceremony, a source told the Daily Mail. The source said Swift's team instructed workers to "dispose" of the custom-made furnishings, which featured monogrammed "TT" designs and garden-style structures, to ensure no items could be stolen or auctioned.
The décor, built in New York and shipped to Pennsylvania, was loaded onto 11 semi-trucks and taken to an undisclosed location where it was incinerated, the insider added. "They didn’t want people to steal it and then auction it or sell it, so they just burned it all," the source said.
While Swift participated in planning the event, the source clarified that she did not personally request the destruction. The couple's ceremony on July 3 at Madison Square Garden included a large tent for carnival games after a planned two-story carousel was dropped due to cost, and a man-made pond beneath the altar was abandoned over safety concerns.
Guests, including several high-profile entertainers, attended a reception featuring food stations, bars and a castle-like setting. Kelce later described the night as "the best night of my life," and multiple camera crews filmed the event, giving it a cinematic feel.
