Noah Wyle Named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2026 After Award Sweep
Actor Noah Wyle, 55, was honored as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2026 following Emmy, Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice wins for his work on a medical drama.
Actor Noah Wyle, known for his role on the medical series, has been selected as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2026. The honor comes after he received an Emmy in September and secured Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards for his performance, as well as recognition for his work as an executive producer on the show.
"I thought that sounded like a prank – just not in a million years did I think that this would be an honour bestowed on me," Wyle, 55, said of the announcement.
Wyle previously appeared in a 1996 People feature on “Sexy Men of ER” alongside then-co-star George Clooney, who later won the Sexiest Man Alive title twice. Wyle noted that his three children reacted differently to the news, while his wife, Sara, considers the accolade a reflection of his character.
"She thinks I’m a good guy and that the kind of person that I am and the kind of father I am, the kind of husband I am, is worth promoting," he said.
He expects light-hearted teasing from friends and family and said Clooney would likely be amused by the recognition. Wyle, who first gained prominence playing Dr. John Carter on ER and later returned to a leading role as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, described the recent career resurgence as a second major turning point.
