Collin Gosselin Denies Mother’s Allegations of Animal Harm
Collin Gosselin’s representative refuted Kate Gosselin’s claims that he harmed animals, calling the accusations false and defamatory.
Collin Gosselin’s publicist, Adriane Schwartz, issued a statement on Tuesday denying allegations made by his mother, Kate Gosselin, that he had harmed or killed animals. \"Let us be absolutely clear: Collin has never used a weapon to harm a family member, nor has he ever harmed or killed an animal in his lifetime,\" Schwartz said, adding that the claims are \"categorically false\" and \"beyond reprehensible.\" \"Collin has shown extraordinary courage in telling his story, and he will not be intimidated or silenced by these damaging accusations,\" she continued.
Kate Gosselin, 51, previously asserted in response to her son’s memoir that he possessed a history of violent behavior, including the use of weapons, killing animals for entertainment, and using racial slurs. She also claimed to have visited him regularly while he was in treatment, though some visits were reportedly canceled due to his instability.
The dispute follows Collin’s memoir, "In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood," which alleges verbal and physical abuse by his mother, confinement in a basement, and misuse of family funds. Kate Gosselin has not responded to requests for comment from her representative.
