Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 cruiser spotted in India ahead of market launch
Demo units of the Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 have arrived at Indian dealerships, marking the model's first public appearance before its official launch.
Harley-Davidson has begun delivering demo units of its new Sprint 440 cruiser to dealerships in India, ahead of the model’s market debut. The bike is the second product co-developed with Hero MotoCorp, following the X440 roadster, and is built on the same platform and powertrain.
The Sprint 440 adopts a traditional cruiser layout with a single-piece seat, raised handlebars, a new fuel tank featuring orange Harley-Davidson graphics, and a circular headlamp without a windscreen. Styling cues include LED turn indicators, a silver-coloured exhaust shield, machined engine fins, and alloy wheels identical to those on the X440.
Technical specifications show USD front forks, twin-shock rear suspension, disc brakes on both wheels and likely a standard double-channel ABS system. The bike retains a round instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, keyed ignition and a simple switchgear. Power is delivered by a 440 cc single-cylinder air-oil-cooled engine producing 27 bhp and 38 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox shared with the X440.
Positioned to compete with models such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Triumph Bonneville T40 and Honda CB 350, the Sprint 440 offers a relaxed riding posture, lower ground clearance and a larger rear tyre typical of cruiser motorcycles.
