Voice actor Eric Bauza, known for Looney Tunes roles, dies at 46

Resumen

Eric Bauza, the actor who voiced Bugs Bunny and other Looney Tunes characters, died at 46 from hypertensive cardiovascular disease, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.

Eric Bauza, a veteran voice actor recognized for portraying Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Looney Tunes figures, died on Sunday at age 46. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner attributed his death to hypertensive cardiovascular disease.

Bauza began his career in 2001 and accumulated more than 400 voice-acting credits, including work on series such as "Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon," "Muppet Babies," and "Avatar: The Last Airbender." He later voiced Looney Tunes characters in feature films including "Space Jam: A New Legacy" (2021), "The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie" (2024) and "Coyote vs. Acme" (2024). During his career he earned three Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.

"I’m a fan first when it comes to this franchise, this band of characters. Mel Blanc will always be the original gangsta, the godfather of voiceover," Bauza said in a 2020 interview with Fox News Digital.

Bauza’s family confirmed his death on social media but did not provide further details. His representative was not immediately reachable for comment.

His contributions helped introduce classic cartoon personalities to new audiences while maintaining the legacy of earlier performers such as Mel Blanc.
