Hourly PM2.5 readings across Singapore stayed within the normal range and the 24-hour PSI remained in the good-to-moderate band on Oct 26, according to the National Environment Agency.

Singapore's air quality improved on Oct 26 as hourly PM2.5 measurements across the five regions stayed between 20 and 33 µg/m³, placing them in the normal range (0-55). The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) recorded values of 69 to 76, which fall within the good-to-moderate category (0-100).

The National Environment Agency (NEA) noted that PM2.5 readings are taken hourly and that scores above 55 indicate elevated fine-particle concentrations, while PSI values above 100 are considered unhealthy. The agency advises vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, children and those with health conditions, to limit outdoor activities when PSI exceeds 100.

In its haze advisory issued on the evening of Oct 25, NEA forecasted PSI levels between 70 and 100 for Oct 26 and expected showers over Singapore and nearby areas. It added that winds from the south-west or west should reduce the likelihood of smoke haze, a trend it expects to continue on Oct 27 and 28 with further rainfall helping to improve conditions.
