A shooting near Bragg Memorial Stadium in Tallahassee left at least 12 people wounded, three seriously, with police investigating a single shooter.

At least 12 people were injured in a shooting outside Florida A&M University’s Bragg Memorial Stadium during homecoming celebrations on Saturday evening. Six of the victims were minors, the youngest being 11 years old, and three sustained serious injuries, according to Tallahassee Police.

Police Chief Lawrence Revell said the incident appears to have begun after an altercation involving two or three individuals and that a single shooter is suspected. He added, "Our priority is to determine what happened and why it happened, and to bring the people that are responsible for this to justice."

A grandmother of one of the victims was hurt while fleeing the scene, Revell said. No arrests have been made, and investigators are asking witnesses to come forward.

Florida A&M University released a statement expressing sympathy for those affected and advised people to avoid the area while the investigation continues. Florida State University, located about a mile away, issued an emergency alert urging its community to stay indoors and remain alert.
