President Donald Trump used his Truth Social account to criticize former President Barack Obama and Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed during the Michigan midterm campaign.
President Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social platform early Sunday, labeling former President Barack Obama as "grossly incompetent" and accusing him of paying off Iran and supporting political rivals who lost elections. Trump also targeted Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed, describing him as a "Fake Doctor" and alleging ties to extremist groups.
Trump highlighted his own record in Michigan, claiming credit for reviving the auto industry, retaining an Air Force base and creating jobs, and urged voters to support Republican candidate Mike Rogers.
The statements came hours after Obama addressed a rally in Michigan, where he criticized Trump’s administration as corrupt and chaotic and warned that opponents use fear and division to undermine reform movements. Obama referenced past attacks on his own reputation and suggested similar tactics were being used against El-Sayed.
