Ric Flair hospitalized after fall following blood clot diagnosis

Resumen

The 77-year-old wrestling legend was taken to a Florida hospital on Friday after a street fall that caused head injuries, hours after announcing a blood clot in his leg.

Ric Flair, a 77-year-old two-time WWE Hall of Famer, was hospitalized on Friday in Florida after a fall on a sidewalk resulted in cuts to his head and around his eye, and possible concussion, according to reports. The incident occurred shortly after the wrestler disclosed that doctors had diagnosed a blood clot in his leg and limited his travel to three to four hours, prompting him to cancel a scheduled appearance at a fan convention in Seattle.

"Unfortunately, I am dealing with a blood clot in my leg, and my doctors have limited my travel to 3–4 hours. Seattle falls outside that range, and as disappointed as I am, I have to put my health and recovery first," Flair wrote on social media.

Flair added that he is scheduled for a procedure to strip the affected vein, which he hopes will allow him to travel again after recovery. His daughter, professional wrestler Charlotte Flair, posted that her father is "going to be ok" and expressed confidence in his recovery.

Paramedics attended to Flair at the scene, and he was subsequently taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
