Hamilton tops final practice for United States Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton recorded the quickest time in the final practice session for the United States Grand Prix, posting a 1:34.893 on soft tyres. He finished ahead of Max Verstappen, whose best lap was 1:35.127, and Charles Leclerc, who was third after a lap was deleted for exceeding track limits.

The session saw Ferrari dominate the top positions, while the Mercedes drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell completed the top five. Other notable performances included Oscar Piastri of McLaren in sixth and Lando Norris in eighth after reporting handling difficulties with his car.

Several drivers had laps removed for track-limit violations, a recurring issue throughout the weekend. Audi’s Nico Hülkenberg was involved in a pit-lane incident with Lance Stroll, which stewards said would be investigated.

With practice concluded, attention turns to qualifying, scheduled to begin at 16:00 local time.
