Paramount+ VP Jane Wiseman Departs as Casey Bloys Restructures Streaming Leadership
Jane Wiseman leaves Paramount+ following the appointment of a new content hierarchy announced by Casey Bloys, who assigns oversight of the streamer to HBO Max head Sarah Aubrey.
Paramount+ executive vice president and head of originals Jane Wiseman will exit the service after joining in August 2025, according to a staff memo from the platform’s new head, Casey Bloys. Bloys outlined a restructured leadership model that places HBO Max head of original programming Sarah Aubrey in charge of Paramount+, Max Originals and international programming.
"Running two streaming platforms with original programming will require great collaboration and a team mentality," Bloys wrote. "The opportunity that lies in front of us is huge and with your skills and commitment we will no doubt excel."
The memo also confirmed that Glenn Whitehead will serve as president and chief operating officer of both HBO and Paramount+, overseeing business affairs, production and operations. Francesca Orsi will continue as president of HBO drama series and films, while Amy Gravitt, Nina Rosenstein and co-executive vice presidents Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller retain their roles in comedy, late-night and documentary programming.
Under Wiseman’s tenure, Paramount+ expanded its original slate, commissioning series such as “Discretion,” “Fear Not,” and “The Best Of Us,” and securing deals with creators including the Duffer Brothers and Issa Rae. The streamer ordered nearly 30 new series and renewed 16 others while Wiseman was in charge.
"I’m incredibly proud of this team. It’s been a privilege to be part of it," Wiseman said in a note to staff, highlighting record-setting viewership for titles like “Landman” and “Dutton Ranch."
Bloys thanked Wiseman for her contributions and noted that she will assist with the transition. The restructuring keeps the HBO and HBO Max framework largely intact while positioning both services for future integration under Skydance’s direct-to-consumer division.
