Skydance DTC Announces Senior Content Leadership Team After Merger

Ամփոփում

Skydance DTC named a new senior content team, retaining most HBO and HBO Max executives and outlining expanded roles as the company prepares to integrate HBO Max and Paramount+.

Skydance DTC's co-chair and chief content officer, Casey Bloys, unveiled a senior content leadership team that largely mirrors the group he led at HBO and HBO Max. The roster includes Francesca Orsi, Amy Gravitt, Sarah Aubrey, Nina Rosenstein, Glenn Whitehead, Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller and Jeff Cusson. The announcement follows Bloys' assumption of content responsibilities for the combined HBO Max-Paramount+ operation after the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger closed on Oct. 6.

Jane Wiseman will depart as executive vice president and head of originals for Paramount+, and her team will now report to Sarah Aubrey, who has been named head of Paramount+, Max Originals and international programming. Francesca Orsi was promoted to president of HBO drama series and films, expanding her previous role as EVP and head of HBO drama. Amy Gravitt, EVP and head of HBO and HBO Max comedy, and co-EVPs Nancy Abraham and Lisa Heller, who oversee documentary programming, will remain in their current positions.

Glenn Whitehead will serve as president and chief operating officer for both HBO and Paramount+, overseeing business affairs, production and operations, while Jeff Cusson will act as EVP and head of communications for Skydance DTC. Bloys said the team has a proven record of delivering strong viewership, awards and critical response.

"These leaders and their teams have a long history of delivering consistently on the main metrics of viewership, awards and critical response. No doubt they will continue to do so across Skydance DTC," Bloys wrote in an internal memo.

"The development slate is incredibly impressive, and Jane has graciously offered to help with the transition. She is an extraordinarily talented executive," he added, thanking Wiseman for her work at Paramount+.

Bloys indicated that HBO Max and Paramount+ are expected to merge within the next one to two years, and that Aubrey will work closely with him and Skydance leadership on aligning the two services. The memo emphasized the need for clear responsibilities and collaboration as the company prepares to run two original-programming streaming platforms simultaneously.
