Bombardier announces $270 million U.S. expansion and new hiring plan
Bombardier said it will invest $270 million in U.S. facilities, create up to 1,600 jobs and expand its service network across several states.
Bombardier announced a $270 million investment to expand its U.S. manufacturing and service footprint, adding up to 1,600 new positions. The company said it will hire 800 workers in Kansas, Texas, Indiana and Connecticut, with an additional 500 jobs currently open and 300 more to be created through new projects, including a planned expansion in Texas.
President and CEO Eric Martel said the expansion reflects the company's confidence in the American market and its workforce. He highlighted the new North American Learning Center in Wichita and a 64,500-square-foot service facility at Fort Wayne International Airport, which will support aircraft maintenance and modifications.
President Donald Trump, referencing earlier remarks that Bombardier should manufacture its planes in the United States, praised the deal as evidence of a "bright path forward" for skilled aerospace workers and a supportive environment for direct investment.
Bombardier noted that its U.S. operations supported 27,200 jobs in 2025 and involved $2.8 billion in spending across its service and manufacturing facilities and supply chain.
