Influencer Braden Peters Pleads Not Guilty to Massachusetts Rape Charges

सारांश

Braden Peters, known online as Clavicular, entered a not-guilty plea in Orleans District Court to rape and related charges stemming from an alleged May 2025 incident in Cape Cod.

Braden Peters, a 20-year-old social-media personality who posts under the name Clavicular, pleaded not guilty on Thursday to a series of criminal charges in Orleans District Court, Barnstable County, Massachusetts. The indictment, filed on Sept. 8, accuses him of rape, drugging a minor for sexual intercourse and providing alcohol to someone under 21.

The alleged victim, 18-year-old influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza (online as Alorah or Alorah Ziva), says she was 17 when she was invited to Peters’ family home in Chatham, Cape Cod, in May 2025. According to the police complaint, she alleges Peters intoxicated her with vodka during a Twitch livestream, then raped her while she was asleep, with his mother and grandmother present in the house.

Peters’ attorney filed a motion to dismiss, arguing that the Chatham police failed to present sufficient evidence. At the arraignment, a judge set bail at $10,000, which Peters paid in cash. The lawyer maintained that his client poses no danger to the community and has no felony record.

The criminal case follows a civil lawsuit Mendoza filed in Miami last year, accusing Peters of sexual battery and of injecting her face with an unapproved fat-dissolving substance during a November livestream in Florida. Earlier this month, Mendoza refiled the civil suit but dropped the sexual-assault claim to avoid interfering with the criminal proceedings.

Peters’ defense memo contends that Mendoza voluntarily created content with him, previously praised him as “so nice,” and continued to work with him after the alleged incident. The filing includes a handwritten note from Mendoza expressing loyalty to Peters and screenshots suggesting she sought a romantic relationship.

Peters has faced prior legal issues, including a 2024 Florida case in which he and two others were charged with shooting at an alligator; he later pleaded no contest to unlawful firearm discharge and received probation and community service. He was also hospitalized in Miami in April after a suspected overdose.

"Peters is neither a danger to the community nor a flight risk," his attorney wrote in a bail memorandum.

Authorities have not commented, and both parties’ legal representatives declined to provide further statements.
