David Krumholtz explains absence from '10 Things I Hate About You' reunion on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Summary

David Krumholtz said he missed the 'Dancing With the Stars' tribute to Heath Ledger because he was filming in upstate New York, and praised his former co-stars' performance.

David Krumholtz said he was unable to travel to Los Angeles for the "Dancing With the Stars" episode that featured a tribute to his late "10 Things I Hate About You" co-star Heath Ledger. In an Instagram video, the actor explained he was in upstate New York shooting a film and therefore could not attend the live performance.

"I could not be in LA for 'Dancing With the Stars' last night," Krumholtz said. "Julia’s tribute to my dear friend, who I miss every single day, was amazing and stunning, and I’m so proud of her."

He added that the cast looked youthful and praised their appearance. Julia Stiles, who led the tribute, performed a contemporary dance to Frankie Valli’s "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" alongside dancer Ezra Sosa, and said she learned a great deal from Ledger, describing him as authentic.

The segment concluded with Stiles and her castmates joining the dance floor in front of a photo of Ledger, earning a 36 out of 40 score from the judges.
