David Krumholtz Explains Absence from DWTS Reunion Segment
The actor said he missed the Dancing With the Stars tribute to Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger because he was filming a movie in upstate New York.
David Krumholtz posted an Instagram video on Wednesday explaining why he was not present for the "10 Things I Hate About You" reunion during Julia Stiles’ tribute to Heath Ledger on Dancing With the Stars. He said he was in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York filming a movie and therefore could not travel to Los Angeles for the live show.
"I could not be in L.A. for Dancing With the Stars last night. I would have loved to be there," Krumholtz said, adding that he was proud of Stiles’ performance. He praised the cast’s appearance and noted that they still looked youthful. Krumholtz also mentioned that he had recently shaved his head and felt it would have drawn unwanted online attention, though he said that was not the reason for his absence. The DWTS episode featured Stiles and her professional partner Ezra Sosa performing a dance dedicated to Ledger, who starred opposite Stiles in the 1999 film. The routine incorporated moves associated with Ledger’s character and concluded with a tribute that included the film’s original co-stars.
