Travis Kelce recounts early-morning workout call involving Taylor Swift and brother Jason
Travis Kelke described a 7:30 a.m. phone call from his brother Jason that woke him and Taylor Swift, noting the humorous exchange about a squat challenge during a podcast episode.
During a recent episode of the "New Heights" podcast, Travis Kelce recounted that he and his wife, Taylor Swift, were awakened by a 7:30 a.m. call from his older brother Jason Kelce. The call concerned Jason's participation in a daily squat challenge, prompting him to ask Travis how much weight he kept at home. After learning the amount, Jason brought two 25-pound plates on his flight to ensure he could continue the routine while away.
Travis said Swift responded to the early wake-up with a comment that the situation was "f-ked up," and the brothers laughed about the logistics of the workout. He added that he would not have been able to assist Jason with a back squat because of an ankle injury, but Jason was using a bench instead.
The anecdote was shared shortly after the couple's July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden, which was attended by more than 1,000 guests. Since then, Swift has been seen at several Kansas City Chiefs games, including the team's recent 22-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chiefs, currently unbeaten, are scheduled to play in Seattle and Denver in the coming weeks.
