Apple Seeds iOS 27.2 Release Candidate for Developers

Résumé

Apple has distributed the iOS 27.2 release candidate to registered developers, previewing new language support for Siri AI and other feature updates ahead of the public rollout.

Apple has made the release candidate of iOS 27.2 available to registered developers for testing, following the fourth beta released a week earlier. The iPadOS 27.2 release candidate was also seeded at the same time.

Developers can obtain the build by opting in through Settings > General > Software Update and selecting the iOS 27 developer beta. The candidate was initially used to test the new Health app, which has been removed from this build and is slated for a later update.

The update expands Siri AI to additional languages—French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish—and adds new profiles for the Apple TV app, anniversary alerts in Call Context, and a refreshed Apple Music icon. It also introduces an expanded prompt option for App Tracking Transparency in the European Union.

Apple previously indicated that the new Siri AI language support would be released in October, suggesting a public launch of iOS 27.2 before the end of the month, with the possibility of a rollout as early as next week.
