Samsung rolls out One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update for Galaxy S23 series worldwide

Resumen

Samsung has begun distributing the stable One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update for Galaxy S23 devices, starting with Europe and beta participants, with broader availability expected shortly.

Samsung started delivering the stable One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update for the Galaxy S23 series outside South Korea, with Europe identified as the first region to receive it. The rollout is initially focused on S23 units that participated in the beta program, offering a 516.69 MB package identified as firmware version S91xBXXUAGZIF.

The company plans to extend the stable update to S23 devices that were not part of the beta program and to users in additional countries within the next few hours. Users can check for the update via Settings > Software update > Download and install.

One UI 9.0 introduces several enhancements over One UI 8.5, including expanded Quick Panel customization, improvements to Samsung DeX and Samsung Notes, upgraded accessibility tools, a location-privacy indicator, and new AI-driven features.

The Galaxy S23 series launched in February 2023 with One UI 5.1 (Android 13) and was promised four major Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. Consequently, One UI 9.0 is expected to be the final major OS upgrade for the lineup, with no further major updates such as One UI 9.5 anticipated.
