New England improved to 4-2 with a 26-16 win over New York, highlighted by quarterback Drake Maye's efficient play and strong performances from tight end Hunter Henry and the offensive line.

The New England Patriots kept their winning streak alive on Sunday, beating the New York Jets 26-16 at Gillette Stadium and moving to a 4-2 record for the season. Head coach Mike Vrabel said his team focused on outplaying itself, while the Patriots capitalized on the Jets' reduced blitz pressure.

Quarterback Drake Maye managed the game from the pocket, completing several big plays including a 42-yard touchdown pass to Romeo Doubs and a 9-yard strike to DeMario Douglas. The Patriots' offensive line, despite losing three starters, did not allow a sack, with rookie Caleb Lomu and veteran Will Campbell limiting pressures on Maye.

Veteran tight end Hunter Henry contributed four catches for 48 yards and a touchdown, helping sustain drives in the second half. On defense, cornerback Christian Gonzalez returned from injury and limited star wide receiver Garrett Wilson to two catches for 20 yards, while teammate Charles Woods secured an interception, the first thrown by Geno Smith this season.

The Jets struggled to generate offense, with wide receiver A.J. Brown catching only three of ten targets for 27 yards. Brown acknowledged his performance after the game:

"I didn’t play well. I don’t know – if the timing was off. I’m much better than what I put on display today, there’s no excuses. I’ll be better,"

Both teams turned the ball over twice, as Patriots running backs TreVeyon Henderson and DeMario Douglas each fumbled. New England’s special teams also contributed, with punter Mitch Wishnowsky delivering a 54-yard punt after a poor snap and kicker Andy Borregales converting both short field-goal attempts.

The victory was marked by several notable efforts, including a 42-yard touchdown run by Romeo Doubs, a strong fourth-quarter rushing display by Corey Kiner, and multiple sacks from the defensive front. The Patriots’ overall performance secured the win and kept them atop the division.
