Apple outlines 2027 iPhone lineup with spring base model and anniversary flagship

Resumen

Apple plans to expand its iPhone range in 2027, adding a spring-release base iPhone, an updated iPhone 18e, a new iPhone Air 2, and a redesigned iPhone 20 Pro for the 20th anniversary, followed by a second-generation iPhone Duo in the fall.

Apple is set to broaden its 2027 iPhone portfolio with several new models. In the spring, the company is expected to launch the base iPhone 18, which may feature increased RAM, thermal improvements, and the new Apple C2 modem, while retaining the A20 chip and an $899 starting price. A companion iPhone 18e is rumored to receive a chip upgrade from the A19 to the A20 and share many components with the standard iPhone 18.

Also slated for spring is the iPhone Air 2, which is anticipated to incorporate an ultrawide camera, a smaller Dynamic Island, an upgraded C2 modem, and a larger 3500 mAh battery, representing roughly a 10% capacity increase over the original iPhone Air.

In the fall, Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 20 Pro to mark the iPhone's 20th anniversary. Reports suggest a fully redesigned glass body, slimmer bezels, a hole-punch selfie camera, under-display Face ID, and two display sizes—6.4 inches and 7 inches. The device is also likely to include next-generation Apple Silicon, possibly the A21 Pro chip.

A second-generation iPhone Duo is also projected for release in the fall, with expectations of improved Face ID and camera systems, alongside the anticipated A21 Pro processor.
