Gypsy Rose Blanchard involved in minor Louisiana car crash

Summary

Gypsy Rose Blanchard was in a low-speed collision in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, with no injuries reported, weeks after the death of her ex-fiancé Ken Urker.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a convicted murderer, was involved in a minor traffic accident on Saturday in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, according to the state police. The crash, which occurred at an intersection, caused only minor property damage and did not result in any injuries or arrests.

Authorities said the sun in Blanchard’s eyes may have contributed to the collision. A social-media user in Houma, Louisiana, posted about being sideswiped by Blanchard, describing the incident as “wild.”

The accident follows the recent death of Blanchard’s former partner, Ken Urker, who was found dead at his Raceland home on Oct. 1, the day of his 34th birthday. Police reported an overdose, and a welfare check was initiated after he missed work. Urker’s residence contained drugs, paraphernalia and a handgun.

Blanchard previously told Page Six that she had last seen Urkin in September when she delivered a Burger King order to his door, pretending to be a DoorDash driver. She said the memory was “lighthearted, thoughtful, and filled with kindness.”

The two shared a one-year-old daughter, Aurora Raina. Prior to Urker’s death, Blanchard provided private text messages showing the pair had agreed to handle custody arrangements without lawyers, stating there was “no need to involve lawyers unless you’re contesting the agreement.”

"During one of our exchanges, I decided to surprise him with Burger King," Blanchard recalled. "Looking back, I’m grateful that one of my final memories of Ken was something lighthearted, thoughtful, and filled with kindness."

"There’s no need to involve lawyers unless you’re contesting the agreement," Urker texted. "The only reason you would get lawyers involved is if you or I don’t agree to the arrangement we currently have," he added.
