NFL Week 6 recap highlights key performances and fantasy implications

摘要

Week 6 of the 2026 NFL season featured a London opener, several overtime dramas and notable fantasy takeaways as teams jockey for position in their divisions.

The NFL’s Week 6 opened in London with the Houston Texans defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-31. Rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. made his Texans debut, but quarterback C.J. Stroud led the offense with 306 passing yards and three touchdowns, engineering the game-winning drive despite a late interception.

In the United States, the Baltimore Ravens fell to the Cleveland Browns 13-10, dropping them from first place in the AFC North. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley threw for 107 yards but could not overcome the loss of starter Lamar Jackson, who remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

The Pittsburgh Steelers edged the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 26-19 in overtime after a 12-play, 3:15 drive capped by rookie Germie Bernard’s game-winning touchdown. Bernard became the first rookie to record 10 or more receptions in a game with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The New England Patriots beat the New York Jets 26-19, while the Philadelphia Eagles extended their losing streak to four games and will be without quarterback Jalen Hurts for at least three weeks due to a blood clot.

Fantasy analysts highlighted several emerging players. Bernard’s 25.7 fantasy points make him a weekly starter for the Steelers, while the Giants’ rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy showed promise with 243 passing yards and a touchdown in a fourth-quarter comeback attempt. Tight end Zachariah Branch’s fumble issues for the Atlanta Falcons and the Titans’ defensive resurgence were also noted.

"We're lucky to win, is probably where I'd start, but we're happy that we won," coach Mike Vrabel said after the Patriots’ victory.

"Listen, there's no doubt about it, being 2-4, it does not feel good, but there are some things that I know we can build on," coach Aaron Glenn said of the Jets’ situation.

The week also featured notable injuries, including a right high-ankle sprain for A.J. Brown of the Patriots and a hamstring issue for Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, who returned to lead Chicago to a 31-23 win over Atlanta.

Looking ahead, the Texans will host the Giants, the Steelers travel to Paris to face the Saints, and the Ravens will aim to rebound against the Bengals.
