Jaime Pressly praises Mom cast amid Chuck Lorre memoir remarks

सारांश

Jaime Pressly defended her former co-stars on the sitcom Mom after creator Chuck Lorre’s memoir suggested he was right to doubt Anna Faris’s casting.

Actress Jaime Pressly, who joined the CBS sitcom Mom in its second season, said the show’s female ensemble was "an incredible cast of women" following comments in Chuck Lorre’s memoir Sitcom that he had been reluctant to cast Anna Faris as the lead. Pressly told E! News, "I was there for seven years, but there [were] eight seasons. I came on in the second season, but I had seven wonderful years of working with an incredible crew and an incredible cast of women, who were, all of us, just as beautifully flawed as our characters on the show were." She added that working with the group felt like going to work with girlfriends and was "refreshing."

Lorre’s memoir quoted him as saying he was unsure Faris was appropriate for the material and later claimed his initial reluctance proved correct after she left the series. Faris responded on Instagram, expressing gratitude for her time on the show and noting her personal recovery journey.

Pressly’s comments highlight the supportive atmosphere among the Mom cast, which also included Allison Janney, Mimi Kennedy, Beth Hall and Kristen Johnston, all portraying characters connected through Alcoholics Anonymous.
