Sean "Diddy" Combs transferred to FCI Allenwood Low amid facility's past abuse allegations

Sean "Diddy" Combs, 56, was transferred to the Federal Correctional Institution in Allenwood Low, Pennsylvania, according to a Federal Bureau of Prisons statement released Friday. The move follows a year at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, where Combs reportedly suffered a head injury.

Allenwood Low has been the subject of prior allegations of harsh treatment. A 2017 lawsuit filed by former inmate Anthony Mammana claimed he was confined for four days in a cold cell known as the “Yellow Room,” stripped of clothing, denied blankets, sheets, a pillow, and basic hygiene items, and subjected to continuous bright lighting. A court found the conditions inhumane, though the plaintiff was barred from seeking damages on a technical ground.

In September 2025, federal prosecutors indicted 17 inmates from Allenwood Low for an alleged conspiracy to assault other prisoners using improvised weapons such as locks, belts and socks. Authorities said the plot stemmed from a dispute over control of the housing unit’s television and telephone areas and was pursued under a Department of Justice initiative targeting transnational criminal organizations.

The Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on the reasons for Combs’ transfer. Earlier reports suggested Combs had access to amenities such as massages, premium alcohol and a cellphone while at Fort Dix, claims his representative disputed, stating that he was serving his sentence in accordance with prison rules while pursuing an appeal.

Combs was sentenced in October 2025 to 50 months in federal prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was acquitted of sex-trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges and is currently appealing the conviction and sentence.
