Rain delays ALCS Game 4, pushes schedule forward

सारांश

Steady rain in Cleveland forced MLB to postpone Game 4 of the American League Championship Series, moving the matchup to Saturday and shifting subsequent games.

Steady rain in Cleveland caused Major League Baseball to postpone Game 4 of the American League Championship Series between the Cleveland Guardians and the Tampa Bay Rays. The grounds crew removed the tarp before the scheduled 8 p.m. ET start, but continued attempts to dry the field proved insufficient, and the league announced at about 9 p.m. ET that the game would be moved to Saturday.

The postponement also shifted Game 5 to Sunday, eliminating the originally planned off-day and travel day for both clubs. If the series extends to six or seven games, the teams could end up playing four games in four days, with Games 6 and 7 already set for consecutive days on Monday and Tuesday.

The Guardians issued a statement confirming that tickets purchased for the original Friday game will be valid for the rescheduled Game 5 on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. ET, with gates opening at 2:30 p.m. ET.
