Medical examiner rules AEW wrestler PAC died of asthma attack

Resumen

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office determined that former AEW star PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, died of natural causes related to bronchial asthma, with no foul play involved.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled that Benjamin Satterley, known professionally as PAC, died of bronchial asthma, classifying the death as natural and indicating no foul play.

Satterley, who also performed under the name Neville in WWE, was found unconscious in a rental car outside a restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, on September 27, 2026, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police reports noted his phone was navigating to Chicago's O'Hare Airport, and a woman familiar with him said he had been heading there after lunch.

"The cause of death was bronchial asthma," the medical examiner's office stated.

The wrestler had competed in his final match at AEW All Out 2026 the day before his death. Over his career, Satterley debuted in England in 2004, joined WWE in 2012 where he held multiple titles, and became one of AEW's early signings in 2019, winning the inaugural All-Atlantic Championship and two World Trios Championships, and was the first AEW talent to hold two titles simultaneously.
