Coach Curt Cignetti said the Hoosiers want a loud, engaged crowd to create a strong home-field advantage. > "I'm glad we're playing them at home. We really need our crowd to be loud and very involved. We have to give them reasons to be. It's just a football game, but I'm glad it's at home," Cignetti said.
The Hoosiers entered the game after a 20-17 comeback win over Nebraska, a performance Cignetti described as a "gut check" that tested the team's resilience. > "It would have been easy to let that game get away from you in the first half and we hung in there. Good win," he added.
Ohio State, coming off four consecutive victories since a narrow loss at Texas, is looking to maintain its position among the conference's traditional powerhouses. Coach Ryan Day noted the importance of handling the environment on the road. > "We know what this means for their program, for our program. So the good news is we've already been in a couple of these. Everyone has to be tough. When you're on the road, handling the noise and getting a win like this on the road is going to take everybody," Day said.
