Los Angeles Dodgers players and staff discussed the team's season-ending loss to the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series on Oct. 15.

Los Angeles – After a 6-4 defeat to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series on Oct. 15, the Los Angeles Dodgers gathered in the clubhouse to address the loss that ended their bid for a third consecutive World Series title.

Veteran second baseman Miguel Rojas, who announced his retirement, thanked teammates for their support, saying his years with the organization had shaped his life beyond baseball.

Third baseman Max Muncy said the group was focused on processing the outcome together.

"Right now we’re trying to soak in what we got in this clubhouse. We’re all trying to tell each other that we love each other and thank each other. There’s going to come a time where we’ll worry about next year, but it’s just not now,"

Shohei Ohtani, who dealt with knee and biceps issues during the series, said he will review his treatment and training plan ahead of next season.

"I haven't been able to come to grips with what I learned overall this season. I will go back to the drawing board in terms of treatment, a training program and see what I can come up with for next season. … And looking forward to having a better season next year,"

First baseman Freddie Freeman, 37, noted that the team had received encouraging words from manager Dave Roberts after the game.

"Obviously came in pretty hurt, down. But (Roberts) said some encouraging things. Sport is rough sometimes when you go out there and give it your all. Sometimes you come up short, but that’s life,"

Starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow, who recorded six strikeouts and a four-run lead before being removed, expressed that the Brewers had played better overall.

"I just think they played a lot better than us. They were hitting on everything and I just think it wasn't our year,"

The loss leaves the Dodgers with several key contracts expiring after the season, including those of Freeman and Muncy, while Ohtani remains under a ten-year, $700 million deal through 2034 and Mookie Betts is signed through 2032.
