Brewers manager comments after NLCS sweep of Dodgers
Milwaukee defeated Los Angeles in a four-game NLCS sweep, and manager Pat Murphy highlighted his team's performance in postgame remarks.
Milwaukee clinched the National League pennant with a 4-0 series win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS on Thursday night. After the game, Brewers manager Pat Murphy said on the broadcast, "They may have a bunch of Hall of Famers, but we have a bunch of gamers, and the gamers won this week." The Brewers outperformed the Dodgers in several statistical categories, including higher team batting totals and stronger defensive play. Los Angeles' starting pitchers recorded a 6.50 ERA over the series, and the Dodgers went 4-for-27 with runners in scoring position. The Dodgers entered the series as the defending World Series champions, having won titles in 2024 and 2025, but were unable to secure a win against Milwaukee. The sweep marks the Dodgers' first loss in a postseason series since the championship round. Milwaukee will represent the National League in the World Series, while the Dodgers begin offseason planning.
