Bridget Marquardt Defends Jessica Biel's Role in Upcoming Playboy Film
Bridget Marquardt said Jessica Biel should remain in the planned Playboy movie despite criticism from Crystal Harris, who raised concerns about the project's portrayal of Hugh Hefner's life.
Actress Bridget Marquardt told TMZ that Jessica Biel should not reconsider her involvement in the forthcoming Playboy movie, which depicts a fictional version of Hugh Hefner's wife. Marquardt, a former cast member of the reality series "The Girls Next Door," said Biel need not respond to criticism from Crystal Harris, a former wife of Hefner, who had contacted Biel expressing concerns about the film's handling of sensitive topics.
"She shouldn't feel pressured to drop out," Marquardt said during an interview on "The TMZ Podcast."
Harris, who was married to Hefner from 2012 until his death in 2017, had sent a direct message to Biel referencing alleged issues involving minors and personal abuse she experienced during her marriage. Marquardt noted that Biel's role is a fictional character and does not portray Harris or any of Hefner's actual spouses.
The film, which casts Biel as Hefner's wife, is intended as a dramatized portrayal rather than a biographical account.
