Samsung expands Android 17 One UI 9 rollout to additional Galaxy models
Samsung began delivering the Android 17-based One UI 9 update to eight more Galaxy devices, including the S23 series and several A-series phones, initially in South Korea.
Samsung has started rolling out the Android 17-based One UI 9 update to eight additional Galaxy devices. The latest batch includes the Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, A56, A36 and A27 models. The update is being released first in South Korea, with broader regional distribution expected within a day or two, according to SamMobile. Earlier this year, about a dozen Galaxy devices received the same upgrade, and Samsung typically expands availability after the initial launch.
"The rollout begins with devices that participated in the beta program, but timing may vary by model," the source noted.
The One UI 9 update is a yearly Android operating system upgrade rather than a major redesign, providing users with the latest security patches and feature enhancements.
