Kelly Clarkson Performs in Las Vegas Amid Ongoing Dispute with Brooklyn Store

Resumen

Kelly Clarkson sang several hits at a corporate event in Las Vegas while a public disagreement with Brooklyn shop Art of Play over a mechanical bird continues.

Kelly Clarkson took the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Wednesday, delivering a set that included "Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)" and "My Life Would Suck Without You," according to video shared by an attendee on Instagram. The 44-year-old singer greeted the audience enthusiastically, asking, "Are you all ready for a good night?" before beginning her performance.

The concert comes as Clarkson has been addressing a dispute with Art of Play, a boutique in Brooklyn Heights. Security-camera footage released by journalist Pablo Torre showed Clarkson leaving the store after an interaction with an employee. Clarkson later posted on X, criticizing the employee as "rude" and accusing the store of dishonesty.

"So you’re not only rude, you’re also a liar," Clarkson wrote on X.

Art of Play co-owner Adam Rubin described the disagreement as a "he-said, she-said" situation and said the store had offered a replica of the $15,000 mechanical bird Clarkson sought. Rubin said the store had not intended to sell the original item and that the incident did not merit the level of public attention it received.

"She’s going to say one thing, I’m going to say another thing," Rubin said in an interview.

A source familiar with Clarkson’s typical demeanor noted that she is generally calm and does not usually make a public issue of such matters.
