Texans confirm Marvin Harrison Jr. trade was completed on Friday
Texans general manager Nick Caserio said the trade sending wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to Houston was finalized on Friday evening, before any game outcomes could influence the deal.
Texans general manager Nick Casiero told 95.7 The Fan in Houston that the trade sending wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals to the Houston Texans was completed on Friday night. He added that the Cardinals chose to wait until Sunday to make a public announcement.
Caserio rejected speculation that the transaction depended on the Texans' performance against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, stating, "What happened in the game had zero bearing on the outcome. Like, we’re not going to agree to something and then see what happens in a game and then back out of it."
The clarification follows earlier reports that mentioned the trade without identifying the receiving team, leading to questions about the timing and details of the deal.
