Atlanta Dream moves WNBA Finals Games 3 and 4 to State Farm Arena
The Atlanta Dream will host Games 3 and 4 of the 2026 WNBA Finals at State Farm Arena, expanding capacity and adjusting schedules to accommodate other events.
The Atlanta Dream’s home venue for Games 3 and 4 of the 2026 WNBA Finals was changed to State Farm Arena in Atlanta. Game 3 will be played at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Oct. 21, and Game 4 will tip off at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 24. The shift moves the games from the 3,500-seat Gateway Center Arena to the larger arena, allowing more fans to attend.
The date for Game 3 was moved from Thursday, Oct. 22, to accommodate the venue change, while the time remains unchanged. Game 4’s start time was moved earlier to avoid a scheduling conflict with an Atlanta Hawks game at the same arena, which was shifted to an 8:30 p.m. ET tipoff.
"We are grateful for the efforts made by numerous stakeholders, including the Dream, the Valkyries, the Hawks, State Farm Arena, and NBC Sports and USA Sports," WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said in a release.
"The change of venue dramatically expands the seating capacity and ensures that the Dream will be able to provide an extraordinary atmosphere for the first WNBA Finals game to be played in the Atlanta market since 2013. We are pleased that thousands more fans across the Southeast region will have the opportunity to experience the ultimate WNBA action – the WNBA Finals – in person," Engelbert added.
"This is what the players and the fans deserve," Dream majority owner Larry Gottesdiener said. "We are grateful to all of the stakeholders who worked together to resolve the conflicts and make this happen."
A potential Game 6 is still slated for the Dream’s original venue, Gateway Center Arena, though discussions are ongoing about whether that location will remain suitable. The Dream had previously explored alternative sites such as Gas South Arena and Georgia Tech’s McCamish Pavilion but faced scheduling obstacles.
The Golden State Valkyries will host the remaining Finals games at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Valkyries team president Jess Smith affirmed the team’s commitment to playing all postseason games at that venue.
