Samsung rolls out stable One UI 9.0 update for Galaxy S24 series in the United States

Summary

Samsung has begun delivering the stable One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update to carrier-locked Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra devices in the U.S., with broader availability expected soon.

Samsung started distributing the stable One UI 9.0 (Android 17) update to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra in the United States via over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The rollout currently covers carrier-locked versions of all three models, with the Ultra’s package sized at 3,909.81 MB and identified by firmware version S928USQU6EZIF.

The company plans to extend the stable update to factory-unlocked variants in the U.S. shortly. Users can verify availability and install the update through Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

The update was first released for the three phones in South Korea, followed by releases in Europe and India earlier this week before reaching the U.S. market.

One UI 9.0 introduces a more customizable Quick Panel, improvements to Samsung DeX, enhanced Samsung Notes, new accessibility options, a location-privacy indicator and additional AI-driven features, building on the previous One UI 8.5 version.
