George Clooney says Presley Gerber's death has devastated his family
Actor George Clooney described the loss of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber's son Presley as devastating for both families while speaking at the Albies awards ceremony.
George Clooney told Entertainment Tonight that Presley Gerber's death is "one of the most devastating things that's happened to our family," speaking at the Albies awards ceremony on Oct. 9. He added that the tragedy remains too painful to discuss in detail and expressed sympathy for the grieving parents and Presley’s 25-year-old sister, Kaia.
The remarks were made during the annual ceremony hosted by the Clooney Foundation for Justice, marking Clooney's first public comment on the case. Clooney and his wife, Amal, have been close friends with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber for decades, a relationship that extends beyond their past business partnership with Gerber, including the co-founding of the Casamigos tequila brand.
Presley Gerber, 27, died on Sept. 20 at a Santa Monica treatment facility. Authorities are investigating the death as a suspected overdose, and the official cause of death has not yet been released. The late model had a career with IMG Models, runway shows for Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana and other major fashion houses, and campaigns for Calvin Klein. The family has asked for privacy during this difficult time.
