Michael Douglas Comments on Catherine Zeta-Jones' Disinterest in His Memoir

摘要

Michael Douglas addressed his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones' statement about not wanting to read his memoir, 'One Helluva Ride,' during an appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

Michael Douglas recently responded to his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones' declaration that she has "no intention" of reading his newly released memoir, 'One Helluva Ride.' During an interview on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' Douglas acknowledged the age difference between them, noting that he had a life before their marriage, which is detailed in the book.

Douglas humorously agreed with Kimmel's suggestion that Zeta-Jones might be better off not reading it, saying, "Oh, yeah," and elaborated that their 25-year age gap means she was unaware of his past experiences, including a disclosed affair with actress Kathleen Turner when he was filming 'Romancing the Stone.' He remarked, "Catherine was 7 years old at the time and wouldn't know her husband for 25 years ahead."

The memoir, published earlier this week, recounts various romantic relationships throughout Douglas' life, including those during his first marriage. He confirmed that he sought permission from women he wrote about, including Turner, who responded positively when asked about including their past in the memoir. Turner herself commented on the attention surrounding the affair, stating, "Good heavens what a fuss about something 40 years ago! I love Michael and I look forward to enjoying the book."
